Who We Are
Love in Action Ohio is a 501c3 non profit organization that works to enhance the quality of life of individuals and families by strengthening communities, providing opportunities, and helping people in need. It is our mission and goal to assist undeserved communities by providing the resources needed to improve their lives. We work with community agents throughout Ohio to help individuals and families overcome the challenges of poverty, joblessness, homelessness and hunger. Pastor Alisha Blackmon-Talbert: Executive Director
Pastor Alisha Blackmon-Talbert has worked 25 years coordinating community outreach events in several different states including NJ, NY, PA and OH. She is the founder and Executive Director of Love in Action Ohio with offices in Cleveland and Cincinnati. Love in Action Ohio is a 501c3 non-profit organization that serves individuals and families throughout Ohio. Also, Alisha founded LOVE- Ladies of Victorious Empowerment: a national women empowerment program that helps women throughout the United States realize their aspirations, dreams and goals.. She co-pastors Love in Action Empowerment Center alongside her husband, Prophet Marvin R. Talbert Jr. Alisha and her husband are dedicated and committed to serving and helping the community. Her passion and love for the community continues to make a great impact throughout the state of Ohio and beyond. Alisha refers to herself as the "Urban Mother Teresa".
